Not just what they look like, but who they are.
I’m Adam Wyatt, and I’m an International Pet Photography Awards Finalist and pet and horse photographer based in Toogoolawah. I offer relaxed outdoor sessions across Somerset and South East Queensland.

Pet and Horse Photography in Toogoolawah and South East Queensland
Pet Photography
Whether you share your life with a playful puppy, a senior dog, a rescue cat or something a little more unusual, every session is tailored to your pet's personality.
From dogs and cats to goats, pigs, chickens, alpacas and other much-loved companions, I photograph each animal with patience, respect and an understanding that no two are the same. There's no expectation for perfect behaviour. The session simply unfolds at your pet's pace, creating natural portraits that reflect who they are.
Every session is designed with finished artwork in mind, creating photographs that deserve more than a place on your phone.
Horse Photography
Every horse has its own personality, and every partnership has its own story. Whether you're celebrating a lifelong bond, documenting a young horse's journey or simply want beautiful portraits of the horse you love, every session is tailored to you both.
Horse and rider portraits, individual horse portraits and quiet moments shared together are all photographed with patience and care. There's no expectation for your horse to stand perfectly or perform on cue. We work at their pace, creating natural photographs that reflect their character and your connection.
Every session is designed with finished artwork in mind, creating portraits that become lasting reminders of the partnership you've built together.
Before Your Session
Before your photography session we'll have a relaxed phone call to get to know you and your pet. We'll chat about their personality, choose the right location, discuss the style of photographs you love, and answer any questions you have.
There's no rush and no pressure. The goal is simply to plan a session that's tailored to you and creates artwork you'll be proud to display in your home.
Your Photography Experience
This is where everything we've planned comes to life. We'll meet at your chosen location and take things at your pet's pace, allowing plenty of time for them to settle in, explore and simply be themselves.
There's no pressure for perfect behaviour. Whether your dog wants to sniff every tree, your horse needs a few minutes to relax, or your goat has other ideas entirely, the session is shaped around your animal, not the other way around.
I'll gently guide you when needed, many of the best photographs happen in the quiet moments between poses. By the end of the session, we'll have created a collection of natural, meaningful portraits that reflect your pet's personality and your connection with them.
Your Design & Ordering Appointment
For most clients, this is one of the most rewarding parts of the experience as they see their photographs fully edited for the very first time.
Within two weeks of your photography session, we'll meet again to view your finished gallery for the first time. Together, we'll narrow your gallery down to the images that mean the most to you.
I'll guide you through the artwork and digital collections, helping you choose pieces that complement your home, your style and your budget. Whether you're looking for a statement piece for the living room or a small collection to display throughout your home, I'll help you create something you'll enjoy for years to come.
My role is simply to help you choose the photographs and artwork you'll be happiest taking home.
Many clients decide to spread the cost, interest-free payment plans are available over 3 or 6 months with a 25% deposit. Afterpay is also available.
More Than a Photographer
Photography and animal welfare have always gone hand in hand for me.
My wife Jess and I run Heartbeat Haven Sanctuary, (@heartbeathavensanctuary), a small farm animal sanctuary in the Brisbane Valley where rescued horses, goats, pigs, poultry and other animals are given a safe place to recover and live in peace. Caring for animals isn't something I switch on for a photoshoot. It's part of everyday life.
Living alongside so many different animals has taught me that every one has its own personality, its own pace and its own way of interacting with the world. That's the approach I bring to every photography session, whether I'm photographing a family dog, a beloved horse or a much-loved companion that's a little more unusual.
Alongside my client work, I also volunteer my photography skills to animal rescue organisations across South East Queensland, helping them tell the stories of animals searching for a second chance.
It's why I believe the best photographs come from understanding an animal first and picking up the camera second.
What clients say about their experience:
“Adam was a pleasure to deal with from the first interaction. He was patient with my horse and was happy and open to my thoughts and suggestions. Photos turned out great! All in all a fantastic experience. Highly recommend.” Kellie
